About (Long Description

Welcome to Social Supports NB! This is a place for all New Brunswickers to find information about accessing government and community programs, and resources to help you live a healthy, well-supported life. Families and caregivers will find useful information here, as well.

The Department of Social Development launched this user-friendly website in the fall of 2020 with a focus on helping seniors, their families and caregivers navigate and explore available government programs and services. Phase two expanded the site in 2021 so that it includes information for:

  • older adults,
  • people living with a disability, and
  • New Brunswickers who want to access housing programs.

Social Supports NB puts an ever-growing bank of resources at your fingertips. Each page is created with plain language to provide you with helpful, easy-to-understand information.

It’s designed with you, the citizen, in mind to successfully navigate the often-complicated process of accessing government programs. It’s also a place to learn about what’s available for help in your community and to get the latest on topics to live your best life.

Social Supports NB will continue to build on its resources over time to provide accessible and user-friendly information. The idea is to offer you a pleasant and productive experience during each visit to the website. Check back often for more updates.
