Are you experiencing domestic or intimate partner violence and need a safe place to stay?
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic or intimate partner violence, there are 14 transition houses for women and children in New Brunswick. Transition houses provide necessities and support to help women and their children transition to a life free of violence.
Transition houses provide shelter for up to 30 days. They also offer crisis intervention and referral services for women and their children who are victims of domestic and/or intimate partner violence. Your stay at a transition house is confidential. Staff will not disclose your name to anyone calling or looking for you. Transition houses are run by independent non-profit organizations.

Who is Eligible?
- Any woman, with or without children, who has been physically, emotionally, verbally, financially, psychologically or sexually abused.
- Women taking their children away from abuse.
