How Do I Apply Steps

In most cases, your doctor will refer you to an occupational therapist or physiotherapist trained in this program. This includes most therapists who work at Extra-Mural or in hospitals.

At your appointment, the therapist will assess your needs. They may try different pieces of equipment to see what best meets your medical needs.

Your therapist will fill out the paperwork and send it to Health Services to request approval.

Health Services will review your request. They will notify your therapist and the medical supplier of their decision.

Your therapist will make arrangements with the medical supplier to provide the equipment to you.
